Boxing Sessions
We’re running two free partner-based pad work sessions, focused on practical, no-fluff boxing. Nothing over the top, just a chance to get moving, switch on, and put in some rounds.
These sessions are open to all levels. Whether you’ve boxed before, or you’re completely new, you’ll be supported and challenged at your own pace.
This is a partner session, so grab a mate and sign up together (the second person doesn't need to be a member and is included in the booking). Gloves and pads provided (you’re also welcome to bring your own). Spots are limited and booking is essential.

Blood pressure checks
Regular blood pressure checks are vital for men. High blood pressure has no symptoms, yet raises risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems. Regular monitoring helps detect early issues and guides healthier lifestyle decisions and better medical care planning.
For Men’s Health Week, the Heart Foundation is offering free blood pressure checks - making it easy to take a simple, important step toward better health. There is no need to book these sessions, simply pop in.
Jellie Park Fitness - Thursday 18 June - 10am to midday
Parakiore - Friday 19 June - 10.30am to 12.30pm

VO2 testing
VO2 max, the body’s ability to transport oxygen, is a key indicator of overall cardiovascular health. Higher scores are strongly linked with lower risk of cardiovascular disease, metabolic conditions, and early death.
Pop into one of our fitness centres and go through one of our simple tests to get your score. Find a time below that works for you, no booking is needed.
